Can you stand on an edge? Is it where we can look out into the unknown, or look inward, gaining a new perspective on what we think we know already? An edge can be a point of falling off or a new horizon. New identities and ideas are formed and challenged at shifting edges. Edges define evolving ideologies. Dangerous, sharp, unnerving, exciting.  Limiting, constraining, containing.

3. •examining edges in society: in culture, religion, politics, morality, aesthetics, geographical areas…
   

4. •concerned with the inhabitants of the edge?
   

5. •defining the edge of an area or identity, or showing that an edge is not as sharp as we might think, or erasing, smudging or redefining an edge?
   

If so, you’re invited to submit a proposal for a multimedia presentation, artistic display, paper, panel presentation, or performance.  All graduate students in the College of Arts & Letters are encouraged to submit a proposal.
